Woa! What a great tileset! I can totally use it for a 2d sidescroller at the moment. Your tiles are more for isometric games I guess but still some of it can be used for 2d platformers too. Thank you!
Attached is a fix for house.png
Door decorations and windows weren't properly aligned (or I was failing to understand how to use them)
Can i use these graphics for free in my game, if i put Lanea Zimmerman in the credits?
I'm not the only artist who worked on the base assets, so no. Gotta follow the rules and credit everyone.
ok, but thanks anyway! :)
But i can use these graphics, if i credit everyone in the CREDIT.TXT??
With certain limitations, yes. If you're unsure what those licenses mean then you should read up on them. There's an FAQ on this site and the Creative Commons has a summary on their site.
Ok thanks very much, for the fast reply :) i will give you a messege when im done with my game, for ios :)
I understand that if I were to modify these I would have to share them under the same license.
So after re-coloring these tiles to match another tileset, I still have to share them, right? Is that consider good enough to submission? o.o
I don't understand the share-alike license, what do I need to do to use this commercially?
Would it be possible to use this in my game if i credit the people in the CREDITS.txt file?
Or can I not use this commercially.
EDIT: Ok nevermind the license says i can use it commercially, Thanks for the awesome sprites!
@JustinLewis
Idk if this is still relevent but according to the license you can use it commercially if you give appropriate credit.
These tilesets are intended to use with grid size? 64x64
In case anyone is looking, SOME of the assets in this package can be used under the CC-BY license:
- Assets made by Lanea Zimmerman (Sharm) can be used under the CC-BY license and the clause prohibiting use of the work in software that contains DRM is waived.
- Likewise, assets made by Stephen Challener (Redshrike) can be licensed CC-BY and the anti-DRM clause is waived.
See CREDITS.txt within this submission to figure out which files this statement applies to. This does NOT apply to art made by any of the other artists or to derivative works where the author has not specifically agreed to CC-BY instead of CC-BY-SA.
