Looks nice, by why does everyone make 16x16 tile sets?  So small, lol.

Because BartK wants a full set of 16x16 graphics. If the pixels are too small for you then you can upscale them to 2x. That gives it a small old school touch.

Looks good. But the water might need some work.

@dime

Honestly?   Budget concerns. :)

32x32 tilesets take significantly more effort on the part of the artist.  We're talking four times as many pixels, so theoretically four times a much effort.  OGA spends several hundred dollars a month on art commissions, and the first thing we're focusing on is getting a set of 16x16 tiles that's as complete as possible.  The sets are worth more to people if they're complete and consistent, so it makes more sense to do it this way rather than mixing in 32x32 stuff as well.  I wouldn't rule out doing 32x32 later, though.

I would have thought squeezing information into 16x16 pixels takes almost as much effort as creating it for 32x32 pixels. But yeah, not that I care too much. These 16x16 sets are growing on me. :)

Could be that it does.  Any pixel artists care to chime in with an opinion on 16x16 versus 32x32?

That is true to a degree. Portraying a lot of detail in a very small space can be a challenge, but in general I would consider the increased labour of needing to fill four times the pixels to greatly outweigh this.

In this case, yes.  The best way to determine whether credit is necessary is to check the license.  If the license is "CC0", no credit is necessary.  Otherwise, you need to credit.

To put my $0.02 in about 16x16, sure they're small, but as one poster said, scale them up and you get an old-school feel. Which is exactly what I'm going for in a project I'm using MrBeast's tiles in. They look fantastic scaled up and the look of the game is very 16-bit which is one of the goals. The Sewer set is especially good.

I'll say it again- Fabulous work! Keep it up!
