Hmm, a pogo stick, a whip, a turtle, a T-block, and what ever other funny Gameboy references you can think off ;)

nice ones, and great example of good vector graphics for game use. For graphics under a license that allows modifiing, vector art is really great :)

Yes you are not allowed to do it, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_patent

And there has been even a case of an actual lawsuit aganist EA: http://www.shacknews.com/article/71880/ea-sued-for-battlefield-3-helicop...

However most car designs today are so generic anyways, that with slight mixing of various designs you can come up with something that would be probably ok to use.

Was ready for entry in the remix competition, but my internet broke over the weekend :(

Yeah, I gathered so much... for the most part it seems like just small adjustments to the vertex normals right? Looks nice as the end result though ;) Note sure if Cube2 supports edited vertex normals though...

For my playermodels I might rather look into a funny way of creating normalmaps ;) But I might use these plants never the less... lets see.

Wow, that is an coincidence as I was just looking into similar stylized graphics for a small test game.

The plants look very nice, can you make a short tutorial how to achieve this effect? I would like to apply it to other models (including a set of more complex playermodels if possible) also.

Luckily I know German ;) Thx

Luckily I know German ;) Thx for the link, those are indeed surprisingly game usable... most of the free motion capture you will find on the internet is sadly not.

However appling motion capture is not very easy either (search for a "animation retargeting" tutorial for Blender).

You could get the model source files from a FOSS game (Like red eclipse, Xonotic etc.) and apply those animations to the mesh.

Animators are really scares in the open-game art scene it seems, so don't cound on finding volunteers here.
