Your portfolio seems to be more illustration-based rather than game-specific. Your price range is fairly nice, and if I need some help with art assets later on, I may give you a call (e-mail).
Sleeper bots are not a valid reason to require verification of profile edits.
In fact, I think what you need for sleeper bots is a membership level system that allows for people to be promoted to a certain level based on their activity. If they, for example, have been a member for a month and are active contributors to the sites, they should be granted a higher level membership status.
The idea is very vague and quite frankly old. I had the same idea (though smaller scale) for a school project a few months ago and made a simple app in Flash. It wasn't very big or complicated and was limited to only a few animals in Africa, but it had animation and sound and some neat technical effects. What would make your concept better would be some kind of gamification. You could make it a strategy game about controlling population for example.
You really need to expand on the idea and flush it out more. Otherwise, you will have a hard time attracting help.
I love DuckDuckGo, and I use it for all my web searches, but that tool doesn't offer the same level of user friendliness when it comes to searching for videos or shopping. In that case, I just use Google in private mode.
Nice work on the texture.
I have not dug into SDL yet, but I really want to. I never used the SDL bindings, either. PyGame looked well-put-together, but I could be wrong.
I have seen some nice Lua-driven SDL-powered games.
I wasn't able to view the video past the first few seconds, but what I saw looked impressive. Keep working on the animations!
As far as professional work goes, it is within fair use to use your work in your portfolio. Just don't post it on OGA as an asset submission. ;)
Send me a message when you get your site back together. I'll check out the video again later in hopes of it actually loading. (Silly YouTube!)
Very nice animation. I'd like to see more. Where can I find your animations?
You seem to be a coloring master!

Smooth animation. I like the character's head piece.
I'd like to add that we should have a tab on our profiles to see the latest comments on our submissions, not just the comments we'ved made.
