There was an issue with sending email on OGA, the issue should be resolved now.
Please let us know if you experience any issues moving forward.

After much deliberation, patching, etc it has been decided that the best way forward for Open Game Art is a site upgrade and redesign. A lot of the modules and otherwise that OGA has used over the years are quite long in the tooth or no longer supported making upgrades and fixing issues increasingly difficult. Unfortunately, OGA is running by a team of volunteers and the current developers of the site are unable to accomplish this by themselves in a reasonable time frame as the current site maintenance takes most of there availability.
As such this is an open call for anyone interested in helping with the project, the new OGA site will be licensed as an open source Drupal 8 Module under the AGPL v 3.0
If you have experience with Drupal, CSS, PHP or anything else that may be of assistance we would love any help you can bring.
If you are willing to assist in any way please contact Botanic on IRC.
Have a good holiday and thank you to anyone who is willing to offer any assistance.

It's official: The Fall All-OGA Game Jam 2018 was a success! The jam ended October 31 and voting has concluded.
- Congratulations antonioab for the "overall" category winning entry J.I.R.O.U.
- Congratulations to all category winners!
- See the final results here https://itch.io/jam/fall-all-oga-game-jam-2018/results
Prepping beforehand was permitted, full details here:
https://itch.io/jam/fall-all-oga-game-jam-2018
The idea of this Jam is challenge ourselves to use only OGA available assets, so let's see what we can do to show off all the wonderful artwork on OpenGameArt.org!
There is an optional theme:
*** Completing the Set ***
So anyone in need of inspiration can dwell on that, or just start spelunking through OGA works until something strikes a chord!

2017 OGA Summer Game Jam was a smashing success!
The Summer Game Jam is done, and ran from July 1st and ended on July 28th! Four weeks of development, two weeks of judging playing each other's games. Make anything you want, but it must use at least six OGA assets (two from three categories) and made in the four weeks provided.
Participants needed to sign up on the Itch.io jam page to officially participate; any questions and messages of congratulations should be directed to the jam's OGA forum thread.
It was a lot of fun. The entries are still available, so go check them out and have fun! Congratulations to Red Voxel for the 1st place submission Arrows of Love! Congratulations to all the participants for making such a great game jam come together!
