Seeking Lead Artist, and Artists or assets for sci-fi MMORPG.
My name is Anthony, the project I am here to tell you about is Multiverse Miner: http://multiverseminer.com/
Multiverse Miner began a couple of weeks ago. My intention is to create a rich multiplayer experience, with a focus combat, with elements of classic sci-fi and space simulation, as well as a huge crafting system.
We have a team of 20 (mostly part time) actively building the game. What you see on our site is just a proof of concept and quick ui slapped together so we can adjust game mechanics.
**This is a volunteer position**. You will receive credit, and you will receive revenue sharing, however I can't promise that will put any money in your pocket. However, most of the team is comprised of professional developers and artists, so we understand that you should be given compensation when possible. Since the game is funded out of pocket by me, I don't give large bonuses, but *there are several smaller bonuses per week given out for completing project goals*. However, we have an excellent plan to monetize, without becoming pay to win, or pay to play that was structured by two core game developers with a combined 30 years of experience.
Expections around time commitment are quite loose, we just ask you set realistic goals and are available to chat should something important come up. We all hang in IRC, and work in a community atmosphere, so using IRC would be required.
You can view previously created assets in the site, by clicking on the crafting menu on the right. We are looking to implement the character selection system, and begin animation on characters and ships, so work would begin there. There are a couple of free ones we found also, that are being used as placeholders. The bars, and most other graphics were created for us though.
If this sounds interesting to you, and *you would like to work on a team with members who have worked for major game studios, Google, and more* - http://webchat.freenode.net?channels=%23multiverseminer&uio=d4 that's #multiverseminer on irc.freenode.net or private message me.
