The War for the Overworld map editor is great, but it's missing some really useful tools, like area copy-paste, line and circle drawing, and an undo feature. Because of this, I like to plan out my maps in Tiled before copying them into the map editor. I thought it would help other people if I made the tiles I was using available!

This image set contains tiles for all of the basic terrain types and claimed ground, transparent overlay tiles for shrines and rooms, overlays for indicating when a tile is reinforced or contains gold, a few basic doors, and some other overlays that are useful for indicating where the map's centre of symmetry lies or for other planning tasks. I haven't yet included icons for traps, any type of door other than a basic few, or creatures.

ATTRIBUTION: This is a heavily trimmed-down version of the Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup tileset by Chris Hamons, available here and here. It's licensed under Public Domain CC0, which I understand gives me the right to modify and redistribute it as I am doing here. There are also some additional tiles, the majority of which are just slightly modified and re-coloured versions of Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup tiles, but a few of which are made from scratch. I am happy to license these under CC0 as well.

I want to clarify that none of the assets here are taken from the War for the Overworld game.

NOTE TO MODERATION STAFF: As you may be aware, the ability to submit art to this site as "Not [my] own work" is broken because the required "Author" field does not appear (see here). Therefore, I've marked this as "my own work" in order to be able to submit it. I hope the attribution notice above is adequate.
