I copied pfunked's idea of rendering 2D ships out of available 3D models here at OGA. Here are the originals:

http://opengameart.org/content/starship-corvette
http://opengameart.org/content/fat-man
http://opengameart.org/content/rusty-ship
http://opengameart.org/content/sailing-boat

Each single ship is to be licensed under the same license as the original 3D model and all the original terms apply (Regardless to the license shown below!). Also, don't credit me, but credit the original 3D model authors.

All except the third one face down as they are supposed to be enemies. If you need someone facing a different direction, just tell me, I'd be glad.

I uploaded all of the images as both an image map and single images, and both 128x128 and 64x64, as well as the blend files setup for rendering. They have tiny modifications from the originals to make rendering easier. (For example: joined meshes, repositioned etc.)

Hehe yeah, I tought it could be a funny easter-egg or last endboss in an not-too-serious space shooter :) Or else maybe a kind of ship-race game or sth.

It's a bit nit-picky, but shouldn't the third one's pivot be in the cockpit area so that it would bank like the boat?

okish, too small for my taste. I wish the ships were a bit bigger and more detailed.

Osmic, it's not picky, I noticed that too. I thought I could leave it this way as it might make a cool effect ingame, dunno how to explain, like the ship sweeping to the side. If someone needs it with a pivot in the center axis, just tell me, I'll gladly change it.
