First I get the values from the reference image

First I get the values from the reference image

I start with a filled contour shape and based the other shape on the values I get previous, focusing getting volume and in light and shadows

 

There are the original svg file, a png with full illustration, a 512px and 32px pixel version in png and the palette used in file created on GIMP
