One request: the Robe Skirt (male only) appears to be on the wrong layer - it's below the shoes layer. It seems to be properly aligned with the metal boots and golden boots, but each of the shoes are rendering on top of the robe skirt, which looks a bit awkward. Pic is below:
That game wasn't very fair, so I got mad and quit ;-)
But seriously: a lot of fun and definitely hard! I don't think it's too hard to put people off though....I mean the title alone should tell them what to expect, right?
I saw it was built on Unity - did you create your own platformer engine or did you use something from the asset store? Just curious...feel free to pm if you'd rather not say here.
I watched the video for your pixel designer...pretty impressive. I see it exports to .gif or .png, but does the "particle render" export too? Particularly into unity format?
Not sure if it's possible, but it would be helpful for programmers if the two main upgrades were layered - that way we could program tiered or modular power-ups. Not a criticism, just a suggestion -- I sped up the animation a bit and it looks really nice!
that would likely require much more work as many small details would have to be added to make a real use of the resolution
I scaled one of your images 2x in the Unity editor and ran it. Pic is below.
I don't look at it as an artist with a critical eye, I look at it as an hobbyist developer and game player...and I think it still looks pretty good.
As a developer, I'd probably prefer a higher volume of pretty good graphics vs. a lower volume of really good graphics, so I'd say stick with 64x64 and focus on a set of images (like you mentioned above)
Cool thanks. This error was included in the original generator and never corrected -- not a huge deal, but definitely annoying!
Thanks for the update, this is great!

I finally got around to looking at the sprite...spent WAY too long in that "Public Domain Super Heroes" rabbit hole .....
Capt Tootsy is FREAKIN hilarious
Nice job, btw...would make a great hero in Skorpio's LPC Sci Fi Pack
Cool - like I said above, good job.

Not a deal breaker, just curious.
