Build upon a work that was submitted to OGA by someone else.
My continued efforts of putting together tile-sets that I think are the nicest 32x32 tiles available.
Remix of four submissions. See the page for details.
I didn't get a chance to finish it (only has the basis for two attacks, if that...), but here's a boss in the style of the RPG I may or may not one day actually start. You can find the original work here: http://opengameart.org/content/tiki-concept . I only wish I had time to finish it though...
As written in the description... a failed experiment. Was aiming for 3k max. to be used in an ARPG :(
A well, maybe of use for someone.
The original tilesets on which this work is based can be found here:
(I hope I didn't miss anything)
Three monsters based off of preexisting concept work on OGA. Fun stuff, but sprites this detailed at this size are time-eaters for sure.
I've been meaning to work more on combining the 16x16 tiles on OGA, this challenge was a good excuse.
I liked the idea of wearing a little red demon on your head. Who wouldn't? :D
Well, I didn't plan to enter, but I was told I should. ;)
Anyway, these are some mechs rendered from Skorpio's models (original works here and here).
Zombie and Skeleton. Original art work: http://opengameart.org/content/zombies-skeletons
Added walking animations and scaled up to usable with 32x32 tiles.
16-bit gilded bitmap font now has lower case letters. Original art work:
:-) I worked on something based on OGA concept art last christmas... This challenge gives me motivation to continue with it.
I think one week is too short, at least for anything 3d related.
Well, that's why the deadline is (and always was) the 1st of Febuary. That's two weeks.
This challenge had a really good turnout. Maybe "remix" should be a recurring theme?
I agree. Open artwork is free to redistribute and free to modify. Challenges like this encourage that aspect.
