A few quick character silhouettes. Originally a doodle/practice piece, so they are of varying quality - use your imagination ;). Personal favorite is #14. I might improve on that design.

No reference used, so they should be unencumbered, such as they are.

Nice art, but I do not know of any way this art would be game-related. This is OpenGameArt, not OpenArt. Still, I like it.

It's concept art. Most in-game art is based on concept art. This art is game-related.

Yeah, character design is important, and these could serve as a very useful springing-off point, especially for supporting characters/enemies.

Agreed.

One of the complaints we get a lot is that we don't have much in the way of raw, idea-generating concept art.  The nice thing about these concepts (particularly since they're CC0) is that you can grab one and run with it and not worry about any sort of licensing issues.

Thanks guys. It is indeed intended to spark a bit of creativity, not end up in game as-is. Like Redshrike, I believe having characters (and character ideas) you can legally use is important.

This is very early design phase stuff. More developed concepts will be forthcoming as I improve :)
