This is an awesome piece. Personally I wouldn't use it as a battle theme but more as a field theme.

I love this! And I see Napoleon's point entirely. But some battles are majestic an non-violently uplifting (in games at least :) )

I find it a bit funny that you chose GPL but provide mp3 (no ogg, which is free, no wav/flac which is lossless).

I assume that distributing the source file would not be feasible or perhaps not even possible. :)

With over 700 songs produced it's kind of an overkill to provide each song in several different formats. Besides: Most operative systems has the ability to read mp3 files anyways since this is pretty much an audio standard that has existed for the last 16 years, if not even longer.

I just assumed, that you use the GPL because of the ideals of the FSF (some of which lead to not using mp3). I'm not complaining.

operative system is an awesome word that one could use in alternative realtiy stories where people use that word to describe "operating system"! (I'm serious).

Sorry for my faulty language. :) In swedish it's called "operativ system". :)

Think it's strange, too, to have closed source art under GPL - at least when not multi-licensed to GPL, to provide license-locked-in projects with food they might digest.

Please kindly consider multi-licensing if GPL wasn't your deliberately political and/or ideological choice.

Otherwise please be aware that only GPL-projects alone can use your work to the fullest extend without legal uncertainty.

Nevertheless, excellent piece.

Will definitely consider a multiple license, as well as upload OGG versions of my mp3's. But that has to wait until  as soon as I got rid of my flu. At least a few days from now.

I am considering using this in Ascension 2, but the GPL licensing is incompatible with my project. I humbly request that you relicense this OGA-BY or CC-BY so that I may use it. I don't mean to intrude, but I think this could fit into my project nicely.

Since I got some critique regarding my choosen license, I've updated the licenses with CC-BY and OGA-BY. I was in a big hurry when uploading it, and I didn't believe this would be such a great hit as it actually is. :) Have fun!
